Cutting Room Floor
The original three hour version of The Blues Brothers was split into two parts with a musical intermission but given complaints by theater owners at a preview Universal Studios asked director John Landis to trim the film. This scene shot on the Kennedy Expressway near Montrose Avenue was part of the chase sequence following Joliet Jake and Elwood Blues on their way to pay property taxes to the Cook County Assessor for the St. Helen of the Blessed Shroud Orphanage.
